Do you like the string-thru-body bridge or the top-load bridge on your bass best... and why?
Any Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass players here?

It's widely accepted that you get better sustain and tone with the strings thru the body. I've found that to be the case for me
I have a Rickenbacker 4003 and love it... and my custom Fender American Deluxe Jazz bass is being built... after it gets here I can throw away my bottle of drool, and start saving again for my next axe.Garry Sharp said:With the proviso of all else being equal. I just moved from a new model Washburn 2502 which has through body stringing to a Rick. Which of course doesn't 'cos it's an ancient design. No question at all which has the better sustain. (It wasn't the W, fine guitar though it is!!)
Interesting question whether a through neck is more important than through stringing. Intuition and my experience suggests the through neck matters more, but those who know more might say otherwise?
