Ok, Im trying to get a fat punchy elec. bass sound on tape but have not succeded.I go from the bass into a direct box(active) then into the console. Any help? thanks all!

you need a compressor with plenty of compression happening to tighten it all up. If you want click try a boost around 2 - 4 kHz
