Hi. I'm looking for a cheap short-scale bass for direct recording with a SansAmp. I play blues/rock/country/folk.
Right now I am considering the Epiphone EB-0, which I can't find at any local music stores, and the Gretsch Electromatic, which I saw at GC and played without plugging it in. What about an acoustic/electric?
Does anybody have any thoughts on these two basses? Any other suggestions in the $200-250 price range?
