At the moment Im using Beyer M-88's and Shure SM-57s on guitar cabinets and getting good sounds, But what about Bass amps. Whenever I mic one up it tends to be really bottom ended and so much that it won't sit in the mix properly, and when I attenuate the bottom end on the EQ, the bass loses all of its substance and character and I don't really want to go and muck around with the good sounds bass players have coming out of their amps already.could somebody recommend a good microphone or just some micing tips to help me get that good tight punchy bass sound that everybody loves so much
