Greetings, I have an Acer celeron 433 with 128 mb ram and a full SB Live digital card with Tascam TMD 1000 and all the assorted gear to make a wav with. What I am asking is I am experiencing different results everytime I record and mix using Cool Edit Pro and Cakewalk 9. Could someone please direct me to a method that has been successful for them i.e. after recording the tracks, place to store file, decent mixing method, and way to normalize or maximize that yields a decent demo. I know this is a lot to ask but I am ready to finally finish off a CD of material and want to stick to a reliable format for making it. YOu can email me if you want, any input is appreciated. Thanks so much, Psongman

If it was that easy, we'd all be out of work! Maybe get some good mastering software. Unless things have changed since I last saw Cool Edit and Cakewalk, they're OK for tracking, but neither has much for mastering tools.
