Sorry for the basic question, but CEP doesn't come with a manual (sorry, online help doesn't count). I have asked for one, but who knows when that will arrive. In the meantime, I am getting pretty frustrated so here is my basic question.

How do I set CEP up to record 24 bit 48 khz? Sorry and I hope the manual comes in soon!!

Thanks in advance

my understanding is this: When CEP says 32-bit.. it MEANS 24-bit. SO just set it for 32-bit, 48000 and things should be kosher. (that is, when you open a NEW wave or session, click 32 and 48...)

xoxoxo

I think camn's right - you can't set CEP up at a particular bitdepth and sample rate once and for all - you have to do it each time you open a new session.

As for the CEP manual - I asked Syntrillium for one in January, and then asked again a few months later. I was told something about these things taking time. I still haven't received a copy. Does that answer your question? :) It's like waiting for the next version of Cool Edit. And waiting, and waiting... I figure there's probably about one guy who is the whole company at Syntrillium, doing everything.

thanks for the replies....

Dobro...bad news, I'm OLD...I find it REALLY hard to read on line help and can almost never find what I want. I tried about 15=20 minutes to look up this question... looked into recording, wave types etc. etc. AAAARRRGGGHHHH

Thanks for the info though... won't hold my breath waiting for the hard copy.

What about...

...the instruction segment on the CEP CD-ROM? It moves along at a spanking pace, but if you go through once every week or two, it starts to make sense.
