Should cables running out of an audio interface, into a power amp for monitor speakers, be unshielded standard speaker cable, or some other type of shielded patch cable? (1/4" to 1/4" unbalanced)
They should ideally be balanced, shielded cables, but short runs are OK unbalanced. You shouldn't use speaker cable except between the power amp and speaker.
