Was tryin to find a cheap and user friendly way to track and send ideas to band mates who are out of state. We all have computers and decent mic's and general recording knowledge. Trying to figure out what software and possible hardware setup would be worth lookin into to make the process as rewarding and painless as possible any and all suggestions are appreciated thanks.

Assume you mean musical ideas? If everyone has the ability to record, use the same DAW, and upload files to a cloud location that any of you can go to and download or play from.

Yes I'm sorry musical ideas. I believe he is using an older version of cakewalk. I've been using a digital 8 track but looking to dive into recording software once I've done enough homework.

You can all download Reaper for free (pay the $40 when you decide to keep it) and share compatible files that way - easy to use, just download the file, and insert it into a new project.

Thx for the response. I think Reaper is exactly what we need to get on the same page without spending to much cash.

What format should we be sending the files RPP or do u have to render to another file format?
