backpacker guitar?

im gonna be backpacking in eurpoe for about a month or two pretty soon
and i figured what better way to make money than a poor american on the street playing his little guitar.

is the martin a good deal? or should i just get a huge guitar and lug it everywhere?

hit me with suggestions please.

There was a thread about this recently, and many people said the Martin sounds thin and that the Taylor travel guitar is much nicer.
