Background SFX?

I'm trying to find background-type soundeffects. You know, like 30 seconds of traffic, wind in wods, lightning and thunder, coffee-house, footballgames and so on...

Anybody know where I can find anything like this?

I thought thesoundsite was for SF's only... :( and since they're not categorized you need to read through the whole thing. I don't see that happening. ;)

...heh heh heh, and what did you get ?BTW, last night I played around with many soundfonts bundled in Creatives SBLive! installation CD. Many soundfonts for sound FX there. Say Bloodwar.sf2, Intrigue.sf2, illusion.sf2, etc... some of them even included sound of singer singin' several phrase of words. A lot of SFX you mentioned. If you still have the CD, go look for it, and find it there...

Any conversion plugin ???

Is there a Sound fonts conversion tool to turn the sound into a DXI or VST or even a Wav.... ???
 
Errr... not a "conversion program" per definition, but Livesynth Pro DXi let you play your soundfonts in Sonar...

You can also load them in a sampler, such as VSampler. :)
