This ditty is joined at the hip (or not so hip as the case may be) with my last offering in this Forum. Not more spores, but a speculation of what the sound of- damn I can't think of the term as applied to a thermodynamic process, but the everyday analogy is moving from one state to another (no Gidge, not from LA to CA) with no possible chance of recreating the starting state. Overwhelmed by Entropy. Ah yes: Irreversible.

In layman's terms- one distant analogy: shitting where you sleep.
The thermodynamic equivalent of the Cleveland Steamer.

yes- dobro, just one chord, pretty much. I've agonized over that shortfall and decided that from a multi-dimensional (or is that multi-dementia-nal) point of view this piece (among many others) explores a musical plane with that variable representing a line.

Slackmaster2K: Thank you for previewing this and pointing me in the right direction. I haven't eliminated the problem(s) you mentioned, but I've mitigated the problem(s) greatly I think. The answer was simply choosing different patches (mostly). I couldn't resist adding some new stuff while I was at it though. The next step will have to involve a new synth and a new soundcard...
No point in recording 16 bit samples with a 24 bit card, is there?
If I was filthy rich, the stuff would be here and I'd be playing with it NOW.

Waldo- thanks for fixing that edit problem. You da man!! Count on me to sign onto your upcoming program as promised. You've still got a bug in your front-page generation script. Just because I've edited the original upload is no (practical) reason to put it into rotation (again) on your front page. That invites the FT types to ruin your site. No peenchy bueno.

"Won't Becoming Bach" 192Kbps mp3 (2484 KB)

I can't stress this enough. Don't use Windows Media Player. This will trash the music bigtime.

Everyone Enjoy the Second Half.

Yeah, you're on form with this one. I think Bach would like it. :)

I really really like it. The sound's clean and fills the headphones.

That horny riff at about .40 is inspired.

I hope Ed hears this one. It's better than previous ones he's listened to.

Good work, hammer hands. Your biographer's gonna be talking one day about the drstawl 'Dark Period, during which the artist began to explore a depth of emotion and range of sonic colors hitherto unknown both to himself and the world'.

So there.

Nice, quite a few tempo changes (or mismatch?), but clever song....

:)

Damn doc, you know it's impossible for me to critique your stuff; so I just listen. I like it. I particularly like the beginning through :40. Baby Maggie likes it too. She's quite the music fan, however, this is what happens to a lot of tunes around here:

J-Jim: Thanks to you and Maggie. I think she's just wondering how ancients from a previous century managed to put music on a long flimsy ribbon.

Hammer-Hands? Well- I'm glad you avoided, "twinkle-toes"... :)

Pretty cool Doc,

More straight-ahead then some of your other music.

Didn't notice any time shifts that jumping flash did, time remained the same for me.

Always Interesting!

New prototype addresses that issue Doc, as well as delete, albums, move to/from album, update, use id3 tags for song info, change id3 tags, re-encode, encode lo-fi to mono or stereo, etc...
