Does anyone know of a formum especially for aw4416 users like me who are trying to learn the in's and out's of this creature? I am especially interested in learning if anyone has been able to actually use the "All" .wav file export function. The folks at Yamaha are saying there is a problem with it, and they don't know when it will be fixed? Anyone been able to get around the glitch? In the alternative, does anyone know how to hook up the unit so that I can load multiple tracks simultaneously into my PC to edit with Cakewalk? Many thanks.

My fellow Atlantian

Hey,

Sorry to dissapoint you. I know how annoying it is to go to your e-mail in box and see that you have a response only to find out that it is some asshole that is not answering your question.

I just responded because I am from Atlanta GA as well. I moved to Munich Germany about a year and a half ago thought. But I will return to Peachtree Heaven someday in the near future.

Anyway, I wanted to ask you a question rather than answer yours...

If you have a Digital Audio Workstation already inplace in the form of a PC DAW, then why did you lay down that kind of bacon buying that magnificent beast? Just curious. In order for you to record the digital data from the AW4416 to the PC, then you will need a kick ass sound card to reduce signal degeneration. Which makes me ask again... why not just have done it with the PC to begin with?

Not judging your decissions, just wanting more information. For all I know, you are a professional audio engineer that just had the spare change to throw down on the Yamaha. If this is the case, then send me some $$$?

Thanks for the hint! You are right, it sounds great. What I like most is its portability. We played a show the other night where a pro sound company was doing the sound. I took the AW with me, with 2 1/4 X8 snakes and ran out of the direct outs. WOW. Instant live CD ! Thanks again.

To Pisces

Glad to hear from another Peach! In answer, I did not have a computer at home at the time that could bear the weight of all that digital sound, and I really wanted a portable recording system. Hope Munich is treating you well, its a great city, I've spent some time there. Thanks for the advise, too.
