aw4416 xml file

Hi

Just got a AW4416. I want to use it as a cubase controller.
I found the midi template but there should be a AW4416 xml file too if i'm correct?
If you have one, can you please sent it to me. I looked for it but I can't find one.

AFAIK, I'm the only person hereabouts who uses an AW4416 and I have no idea what you're referring to.

You might have to look elsewhere.
 
Do you use the AW as controller for cubase? Maybe you can tell me how i have to configure it.
I've tried to load the midi remote template for cubase into the AW and in cubase you have to select a controller which is an xml file if i'm correct?
When you open the list in the device menu you can choose Houston, mackie controller....but no AW
I think that the AW can't controle cubase without this xml file?
Maybe i'm completely wrong?

AW4416 -- REMOTE -> Cubase VST

Installation and Setup

AW4416 Settings
Load the "cubase.mid" bulk data file into a sequencer. Using a MIDI cable, connect the MIDI OUT of the sequencer to the MIDI IN of the AW4416 and play back the MIDI data. See chapter 13 of the AW4416 owner's manual "MIDI -- Sending the AW4416's internal settings via MIDI (Bulk Dump)" for information on receiving bulk data.


Cubase Settings
Go to the VST Remote window under Options -> Remote Setup -> Setup and set the remote to "Generic Remote." The Generic Remote window will appear; click the Edit button. The Generic Remote Setup window will then appear. Choose "Import" and then select the included AW4416.xml file.

Hello,

I'm not too hot with cubase, but the AW4416.xml file can be imported from somewhere in the VST remote window. There's a read me file online. Just search for AW4416 MIDI remote template.

Hi,

I'm looking for the aw4416 XML file. The midi remote template is already loaded into the AW, that seems to be ok.
If you go to Device in cubase > remote > generic remote than you can load all kinds of mixers and controllers to communicate with cubase, AW is not in the list.
I have downloaded the AW2816 xml file from yamahasynth.com but that doesn't work. Strange that the AW4416 XML file is so hard to find?
