The mic pre is pretty good... not great, but definitely useable... the equalizer [especially the top an bottom band] makes the unit worth the price of admission all on it's own!! The compressor is rather 'hit or miss'... if it works for a sound, then you're in good shape... if it doesn't work for a sound then you'll know in about 5 seconds that you need to try something else. The ability to send the two mid bands of the equalizer to side chain the compression has made the compressor in the 737 about the most useful De-esser I've ever met... perhaps even more useful than a DBX 902 which is a pretty tall order.
