Hi, I have a problem when attempting to save automation of a
VSTi in Caubase SX3, the same problem exists for multiple
synths I have tried, one of which is Novation Bass Station.
I have recorded the required notes onto a MIDI track and
then attempted to record some parameter automation over the
top. I press the write button on the VSTi track then press
play and alter the parameters as required, then press stop
when finished, I then switch off the write button, press the
read button and replay the piece to find that the automation
has not been recorded.
However if I double click the midi sequence so that it opens
up in its own window I can record the automation by pressing
record on the transport bar and adjusting the parameters.
The problem with this is that when I replay the sequence the
automation is read but the read/write buttons have no
effect, the change is permantent and cannot be toggled
on/off. I also noticed that if I select 'show used
automation' no automation is shown for any of the
Parameters.
I need to be able to save the automation of individual
parameters and then be able to view the automation and edit
if required. I have followed instructions from the manual
but can't get it to work using the read/write buttons, am I
missing something obvious? This is really stopping me in my
tracks, any help anyone could offer would be greatly
appreciated,
