Here's my situation: I am using Sonar as my primary sequencer, but I like a lot of the sounds that Reason provides so I've been using them as virtual instruments in Sonar via Rewire.
So, I have my Sonar project and then I have a corresponding Reason project which stores off the Reason devices and settings. That all works great for static patches. What I am trying to do is figure out how to automate all the little knobs and faders on the Reason devices from Sonar.
I know that I can automate any of those controls from within Reason, but that requires using Reason as my sequencer. I also know that I can control the knobs/faders via my MIDI keyboard using Reason's Remote Override Mapping option. However, that doesn't help me to record the automation in Sonar.
I had hoped there would be a way to record/draw controller tracks in Sonar that I could then somehow map to particular knobs/faders in Reason. Does anyone know if this is possible?
