what is this?
I have had this computer for almost 3 years with no problems, it's an E-machines with an AMD processor that has been really good. Don't know all of the specs off-hand, but if you want me to (if it has any relevance) I can get off my lazy butt and go see what she's got under the hood. Anyway, it's been doing this "thing" for about the last month or so, when I turn it on as I normally do, it goes through the boot thing about 3 or 4 times before I actually get to the windows XP login screen (I have it password protected just in case). It always brings up this screen that says "Autochk - Autocheck program not detected" and then it will sit like that for a minute or two and then reboot only to go back to that screen. After 3 or 4 times of doing that it finally goes to the login page and lets me start everything up. Anybody know what the hell could be going on here?
