Auto-panning in Sonar 2.0

OK, is there a quick and easy way to do this?

I am too lazy to sit there and arm the pan slider for automation and do it manually - is there a way to say "Pan L to R - 100% in synch with the tempo"?

Without automation? Yea, grab it with the mouse, drag it while tapping your foot.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Some effects processors have auto-pan and patch links to modulation. Maybe you can find a soft-plugin that can do that. (something like a pcm80 like in a plug)
Sounds like more trouble that recording the knob though.
