sorry, this is kinda split into 2 questions.

hey I'm posting this here for safty reasons. but a friend of mine claims there is a way that you can get the computer to automaticly correct the pich of your vocals. but I don't see how thats possible, I know there's ways of adjusting the pitch (thrue speeding up and slowing dowwn the track) but not something that does it aoutomaticly, or is there such a program..

but this did get me thinking, this function might be possible if you get a midi track, and let the computer adjust the frequency to the midi file, it would sound fake, but could be hady. is this possible?

Anteres auto tune. It's a plug-in for recording software that does exactly what you are talking about. It leaves artifacts if you don't know how to set it up properly and it sounds fake.

"Auto Tune" types of effects are use Extensivly in studio"s now , Actually they are used Far to much, One you understand the sound of the Artifacts it leaves in the recorded track you will start hearing it in allmost every single Vocal Based Pop song out there, Think Britany, Miriah, and all those other shitty assed pop singers ,Most all of there songs have auto tune type effects in the Vocals.....

wow, I knew they used pitch altering stuff, but I didn't know they were so lazy about it... wow.
