The not fountain head
Took some time reverse engineering this chart..

http://www.auralex.com/category_roominators/rm_selector_2006.gif

Here's what I got out of it...

The following numbers represent number of square feet "covered" by each product.

Take note of the recommended coverage at the bottom of the chart...

D36 35.98
Alpha-DST 80.04
Project 127.99
D108L 208.84
Deluxe Plus 152.05
Pro Plus 223.96
D240xi 352.02

So for my 15 x 11 room, the walls/ceiling sq footage is 581.

Per an average of their "control/post room" suggestions, I should cover 54.95% walls/ceiling of my room:

581 x .5495 is roughly 319.26.... That puts me between "Pro Plus" and "D240xi"...

Pro Plus (223.96) minus D240xi (352.02) divided by 2 = 287.99

Which means I'm 31.27 sq ft of material needed closer to D240xi.... And is a strong argument for spending the extra money.. Even though there would be 32.76 sq ft of extra material...

Just thought it might help someone down the line... You could always use these numbers if, like my guitar center, they only have the low end room kits (and buy multiple)... LOL.. I would need 8.873262924 D36's...

:p

P.S.

9 of the D36's = $1,259.73
and
1 of the D240xi's = $1,799.97

P.S.S. I'm sure that the stuff in the D240xi kit is more effective.. Just thought it was a cool statistic...

Hey Peri!

No problem

Pretty good... All this dust is making me cough though... I'm sitting here listening to some John Lennon on my Event ASP8's and LOVING 'EM! Bought a wireless keyboard and mouse set today... Next up might be 22 in widescreen dvi... I hate these ghost images
