Wondering if anyone has any experience with the audix om11 and what their review is on it? i tried searching through this forum, other forums, youtube, ie.. etc.. found nothing. i do a lot of shows as a lead singer in a mostly rock/alternative genre and have an addiction to trying new gear and adding new stuff to my collection

If you don't mind not holding the microphone. Pick up to add to your collection and try it live the SM7b.

doesnt seem like theres much out there for this mic so im gonna just buy it and record a show. do my own review for it on this forum

I've never used the OM11 but I believe it's a re-release of the OM1 which was a pretty good mic--I certainly preferred it to SM58s.

However, given my choice, I'd probably buy an OM6 which, to my ear, is a truly great mic for live vocals--smoother and warmer than the dreaded SM58 and perhaps a bit more feedback resistance too. It's my "go to" mic for live vocals--I only bring out my SM58s if somebody is unwilling to try something new (but, on the other hand, have converted quite a few to preferring the Audix).

i go a little crazy on stage (flips, throwing guitars over shoulders, throw the microphone quite a bit) audix seems to handle my abuse. even though some people dislike the fact that you have to be so close to audix mics and be on axis.. for what i do it helps with resisting feedback from my stage antics. i heard great things about the om1 so thats another reason why i chose to research this mic. i typically go through 3 or 4 different mics on stage for 1 show. beta 58, om6, shure super 55 and the encore 200. im nit picky about sound on certain songs hahaha
