audiophile2496 + gigastudio + sonar 2

anyone know how to get these three things to interact with each other. I want to be able to play instruments from gigastudio in sonar2 using only my audiophile2496, which is directly connected to monitors. How to I get sonar to recognize gigastudio?

I think you need a midi loopback virtual device for you OS to be able to send midi note messages from Sonar to GS. I use the MidiYoke.

Giga+Sonar+Audiophile

There are probably hundreds of Giga users with Sonar & the Audiophile 2496.

I used to use GigaSampler LE and it's a very nice bit of kit.

You'll need to instal Giga and in prefences set Sonar as the sequencer. From what I can remember (I don't use Giga any more) you won't be able to run Sonar independently of Giga because Giga hogs your audio drivers.

There is a Giga forum over at Tascam.com Maybe you could look through the previous posts to see how to get them all playing along harmoniously.
