audiophile2496 and SBlive

Hello,
im sure this has been covered many times, but i couldn't find any threads so...

can i have the 2496 and my SB live! live together in my computer? Right now it seems that the midi port is not reconized (not a big deal). while playing games only some of the soudns play from my sb. Do i need to configure every single program to run from my sb or audiophile? should i just uninstall my sb and use the mb audio? any thoughts, tips or whatever is thanked

I ran 2 audiocards in my PC.

The stock card it came with, and an Echo Layla 20.

The stock card was connected to normal stereo computer speakers while the Layla was connected to my monitors.

When i would listen to music, play games, whatever i would use the computers stock card...

while recording i would use the echo layla paired with the monitors.

To change between the 2 i just went into control panels (window XP pro) then "sound devices & Audio" then inside the Audio Tab i would change the settings for recording and listen to the appropriate card for the job.
