I'll be there
k, so I had to upgrade to a sound card for XP, so I picked up an Audiophile 2496.

After much screwing around (like,,,er, where do I plug in the speakers?) I managed to get the bundled Cakewalk Express installed and build up a project with exported midi and wav files from my old system.

So how do I mix this down to a wav file? Route the play back around to two new tracks and then export them as wav?

Doug

Just use the Export Audio command. You will have to convert the midi to audio first (or use a DXi).

Thanks for the reply,
I'm using the rca loop on the out->ins of the audiophile to record the midi to wav. This takes care of any softsynth lag as well if I mix it down before recording any audio tracks. Seems to work ok.
