Audiophile 2496 problem, no sound!

my audiophile stopped working, when I play mp3s nothing comes out of the speakers and the indicators in the mixer dont move. Also when I use the SPDIF input I get no sound, I'm using win2k and I have installed the new driver that came out a few days ago, the problem started before installing the new driver. suggestion?

Check the Audiophile control panel carefully. While it is a very nice little program, it has plenty of ways to accidently mute or turn off the sound. I use mine with a small Behringer mixer, and I need to mute the playback when recording or I set up a feedback loop. I then have to un-mute it before playback.

Also check the windows control panel and make sure it is still set as the default playback device.
