Audiophile 2496 PCI Question

I ordered a Delta 410 a month ago and it's still on backorder...So I'm looking at other cards.Specifically the Audiophile 2496. But does this card work with windows XP and does it have any advantages to the 410. Thanks.
 
Yes, all current cards on M-Audio's website will work in XP.

The Audiophile does have MIDI IN/OUT and SPDIF.

I am noticing that the 410 is no longer listed on the M-Audio site. That always raises a red flag for me saying that support for that card in terms of updated drivers has its days counted. Most likely, 2000/XP will be the last OS the 410 will work with.
 
good point, Yeah usually when a company halts production of a peice of hardware they stop supporting it...So I doubt they will have drivers for later OS's

Thanks, I think I'll go with the Audiophile 2496.
