Audiophile 2496 and J_Station...help

Okay, so I have my J-Station hooked up to my Audiophile's spdif input, and the anlog output of the Audiophile is hooked up to my crappy little Behringer (yeah I know! ) mixer. I have a drum track playing back that I can hear in my headphones hooked up to the mixer, but although I can see that I have a signal through the spdif input by moitoring the M-Audio control panel when I play the guitar hooked up to my J-Station, I can't hear the damn thing, what gives?

Yup, you can route everything via the m-audio control panel.
