I'm trying to normalize a song that I recorded. I have done it to a wave file but when I try to conver it to a MP3 file the sound quality is terrible. How do I get a decent sounding Normalized MP3 file?

MP3 is a compressed format....it slowly ruins your audio the more you compress it.
You need to adjust the bitrate of the MP3 accordingly. The standard rate is between 128-192kbps.
