Audio track delay when exporting audio mixdown

Hi

I have been using Cubase 5 for a while now, and have been using Cubase for a few years.
I had no problems on my old computer, but now I have a new one (with a bog standard soundcard), I am having a problem.

When I export an Audio Mixdown, the recorded audio tracks in the outputted wav lag behind the midi and vsti tracks.(ie. there is an unwanted delay on the vocals when compared to the backing).

I see from Cubase that my soundcard has a 46.440m/sec latency on it. When I playback within Cubase, everything is in sync, but when I output an audio mixdown the vocal tracks are delayed and out of sync.

I have tried inserting a negative delay figure on the vocal tracks, but this has no noticable affect on the exported audio file.

I have also tried doing a real time export but this has no affect either!

This is really bugging me and I need to find a solution.
Please help if you can. Thank you

Rich

I have literally never heard of this, does freezing the tracks work?

No I have tried freezing the tracks and same problem. Thing that gets me is that when i put a ridiculous figure like -464.40 m/secs into the channel delay for the recorded audio it has absolutely no affect on my final exported mixdown.
It is puzzling and frustrating me.
Obviously the soundcard has a playback lag for audio, but how can I compensate for this when none of the settings has any affect?

I used exactly the same edition of the software with my old lappy and that worked fine but this new one won't work.

The instrument tracks are coming frrom reWire channels connected to Reason 5 and I only used Cubase for recording audio tracks to add onto the basic Reason instrumentals.
Could this be a problem? I am using Windows 7 64 bit

I'm on mac, but I have never had that issue with Reason.

Devices/Device setup...

Try setting your priorty to boost (if available) and make sure latency compensation is on. No idea if that will fix your issue but it's worth a shot.
