Audio-Technica MB 2k Midnight Blues

hey i found this mic on the web yesterday. it's said to be a mic for instrument amplifiers, and is only 95$ can, compared to 160$ for the shure 57. Anyone tried them and can tell me if it does the job well for 73$ less (counting the taxes)

The use would be to record some metal, "black dahlia murder" kind, barely death metal, and some punk.

those MB 2k's look pretty cool huh??? I have a couple of their predecessors...the MB2000L. To me they are kinda bright. Iv used them for live vocals and for guitar amps. Havent found much use for them as far as recording goes thought except for a talk back mic. I havent tried them in some time though...maybe I should check them out and see if my taste has changed any.
