Has anyone used this 4 pack (2-snare/tom and 2-kick/tom)? I'm thinking about getting them for live application (ya, I know this is Home Recording).
I have always used SM57's on all my drums, simply because I've owned a set of 57's for a long time. Although I will still use a 57 on the snare, I like the low profile of the AT Pak - (and I can get the 4 PAK at a very low cost) however, I notice the frequency response on the AT's is less than the 57's (both on the high and low end) and I'm guessing the Cardioid pattern is a little tighter than the 57's (which may be a problem if I try to mic two drums with one mic).
Any feedback would be appreciated - I need to make a decision on this real soon!
