Hi!
Im going for a stereo mic or a matched pair for recording conserts. My plan is to have a stereo mic to record in distance and mix this with aux out from the mixingtable. im going to take this sound inte my mac and do a mix at home between the stereo signal from the mic and the stereosignal from the mixingconsule.
My question is, what mic shall i use for this? I been looking on the AUDIO TECHNICA AT822 and on the AT825 and my question is:
Does anyone have experiences with these two mics?
I guess they are pretty similliar and the main differnce is that the AT822 is unbalanced and the other one balanced.
ive read somewhere that the at822 require more gain on the preamp than the at825. i also have a battery fieldrecording setup where the amp isnt very powerful, so I would like to have one where I dont have to take the amp up to the top and get the hizz from the amp as a result. but otherhand I dont want to spend $100 more on the at825 if I dont have to and I havnt got the money at the moment.
so what do you say?
do they work fine for my purpose?
any other recommendation?
what I also like with the mic is that it is batterypowered which I also consider as nice
thanks for your help
