Hey guys, Someone offered me this mic for 50 Dollars Is This Mic good ? I dont have an interface though. I only have a Blue Icicle.
Will the quality be the same ? anyone familiar with this mic ? is it easy to mix ?

$50 for an AT2035 is a GREAT deal. I'd take it for sure.

Yes, but it still uses your built in 'crappy' soundcard. Good A/D conversion is the first step to quality recording. An internal soundcard will not get good results. Of course, defining what good is, is subject to personal opinion. IMO, USB mic's and USB converters like the BI are a waste of money.

Is the DR.Dre Beats laptop have a bad soundcard ? And how would i set up this tascam ? just plug it into my computer ?
 
I have heard that it is just as bad as any other. Just a name to promote the product. The Tascam is a USB2.0 external soundcard. It connects with one USB cable. Select it as your default audio device in Windows. You would want to hook up good monitors to it, though headphones would work temporarily if funds are not available. Using an external interface needs monitoring from something other than your built in laptop speakers.
