I'm looking at getting a microphone purely for vocals, and these are the three I've narrowed my choices down to.

I sing mostly R&B and soul and jazz music, and I'm looking for a mic that's going to give a warm, silky and intimate feel to my voice.

I was pretty set on the 4047 from some of the reviews I read, but just recently I've also heard that the Blue Blueberry and Dragonfly would be excellent choices as well, and maybe even better than the AT.

Assuming they're about the same price, which one do you think I should get? I haven't been able to try any of them, so any help you guys could give me would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks!

The Blue Mouse is the one you want for vocals...Id go with the AT4047.

I enjoy the stage one and stage 2 rockets.

the mojave ma-200 is also very cool

The 4047 is a well respected mic in any collection and does a number of things well. I like it as much or more than the mouse

Awesome! Alright, I think my mind is made up...I'm going with the 4047.

Thanks a lot, guys! :)

You will never know how right that choice is.....

I sure hope so! By the advice I've received on here, and the reviews I've read online, it sounds like I made the right choice. So thanks again, everyone! :)

I should be receiving it in the mail soon. I can't wait to try it out!

The Mojave MA-200 also looks really sweet too, but it was outside of what I could afford right now, unfortunately.

I am trying to trade my 4050 for a 4047 and sell the 3035,MXL4000 and MXL 603s and buy a KSM32 To get a Multipattern in my collection.I had the blueberry but my 4050 Sounds Better IMHO.

I allmost bit on a blueberry on craigslist...but im glad he flaked...Blue mics seem to be only really good on one thing per model and not very versatile at all...and after hearing one...I wasnt that moved by it.

Which happens to be good for you, because I've found some things I consider to be serious design flaws in that mic. I've changed things in my version of it that makes it so much better, IMO.
