Hi, I have been using Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 for several weeks. I previously had been recording straight into my laptop soundcard, from my guitar, through a preamp (a pod). Everything was fine, except for the cheap quality associated with playing directly into the computer. So I got a soundcard. First a Roland UA-3. When I tried recording with this, I would get an awful echo/delay. I tried tinkering with all the settings and nothing would work. I thought the problem had to do with the soundcard, so I returned it and got the Roland UA-100G (which I wanted more anyway). Again, I am having the crazy delay/echo/feedback problems. Just to make sure it wasn't the soundcard, I tried recording with different software. N-track was fine, as was Cool Edit LE that came with the soundcard. So, the problem has something to do with the Cakewalk software. I am used to this software, and I enjoyed its features, and I wouldn't want to spend more money to get different software. There must be something I am missing here. I would appreciate any response to help me out, either here or you can email me at fikus@feaselrock.com. Thanks so much, and download some free mp3s at www.feaselrock.com.
