Audio Outputs no longer match

Hello All,
I had to make some changes to my audio hardware. Now when I go into Sonar Xl 2.2 and look at the audio output selections for old *.cwp files I cannot see all of my Audio outputs. If I pull up a default Sonar file and look at the audio output selections I can see them in there.

I use Sonar Xl 2.2 with a Motu 2408. I built a new template ( *.cwp) but if I cannot resolve this problem I would have to build a new *.cwp for all of my older tracks. Midi plays fine on the older ones , but If I wanted to record some new vox for a oder *.cwp file I would have to copy a nd paste the midi as well as reassign the patches, channels ,ect.

My Audio Output selections now for older *.cwp files are listed like ~A - ~Z or whatever. The Sonar template lists them the way it should like Adat A 1-2,, etc

Sounds like maybe you have to reassign your VMains.

First go to Options > Audio > General and establish the number of VMains that you need. (Remember each Main represents a stereo pair, e.g, A = 1/2, B = 3/4).

Now you need to assign them. Make sure the Main View is showing. If it is not, click the little window icon directly to the right of the All/Mix/Fx/IO tabs. Click the I/O tab and go the Main labeled A and assign it by clicking the down arrow in the Out box and selecting the assignment.

Repeat for B, C, etc. until you have assigned all your Mains as you want them. They should now show up correctly for each of your tracks.

But have you run Audio Profiler each time you make some change in your audio hardware?

Yes,, I always run the Wave Profiler.

I think the assignments may be off like stated.

Luckily Im in the studio right now for you guys help. LOL

After reading your response to malcolm, I went to the Main/Aux Buss Pane in my corrupted Project. On the I/O Tab, "None" was listed in the Output Assignment drop-down menu for set A. I switched it to 1/2; & now I'm good to go.

Unbelievable. Cake tech support didn't even instruct me to look there (maybe they assumed I should know?)

Im a little late responding ,,, But!!! Dats it. I went and assigned the Vmains and now everything is good. Even better than before when I had the outputs for selection (some were duplicates tho) I did not know that they affected the audio output selections. Now I can selected up to 24 channels of audio that matches up to my DM24 and Motu2408, by layers.
