audio mixdown?

good afternoon all.

i have a question about audio mixdown.

i'm a complete beginner when it comes to recording music... and while using adobe audition 2.0 to record my vocals i notice when i "audio mixdown" the beats and vocals are a lot lower than they should be...

putting the track onto the cd it is too low compared to an actual music cd...

is there something i'm missing? thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions...

Make sure your master fader is on "0" and your mixdowns should come out the same volume your session is.

the master fader on my mixer?

i use a samson mdr624 mixer... do you mean the main level on the bottom right knob... picture attached in the link:

I'm from Adrian, lived in Detroit during college, and now live outside of Ann Arbor. I'm not sure about WCBN, but I think they're still on.
