audio interfaces and PT LE 8

hey all

i understand to run ProTools LE you need a digidesign interface connected.

BUT, if i had one connected and also had another firewire or usb interface connected, such as a presonus firepod or something, could i use either interfaces' inputs? or will ProTools not accept/recognize any other interface appart from the digidesign one?

any help would be appreciated.
