Audio Interface being Buss Powered??

Is it favorable for an interface to be buss powered? I would guess bus powered means you do not have to plug it in and it runs off the power supplied by the usb port or whatever connection. This would make it easy to power the unit, but wouldn't robbing power from the computer also be a bad thing??

If you are using the interface on a laptop, then yes, sometimes the power supply can introduce noise. Usb power can be quickly depleted tho.

It will kill your battery fast. The Mbox 2 will drain a full Macbook Pro Battery in about 30 minutes. Most interfaces though are externally AC powered.
