Audio in/out drops in and out.

New install of cubase (and reinstall) and I have had no luck getting
sound in or out of cubase without audio cutting in and out in a fairly
consistent manner, almost like an LFO or slicer effect is on.
I've been using this version for years (vst32.5) and this is a clean
install on a recently wiped imac.

i dont think steinberg was supporting macs back then.... could be wrong but dont think so...
