hi everyone,
i cant get cakewalk home studio to record or even play back any sound, i am running windows 98 se and i am currently using a Nvidia Nforce2 soundcard that is built into my motherboard, when i start cakewalk i get a msg that tells me that my soundcard drivers do not support the current audio format or are in use by another program..any idea how to fix it?

thanks,
Dave

someone in another thread had said to set cakewalk to always use MME interface, and it is working fine now

No Problem, Dave :)

mme/Asio

Hi All

I have tried the same thing, without any luck. I know sonar doesn't support asio, so I have set it to use mme...
Still I get that message "doesn't support the current audio format..."
Have a M-AUDIO Duo USB card, and it's pretty hard to get installed in xp..
Tech support from m-audio told me to use the quattro setup fil, as it uses the same drivers as Duo... But then I can't get it to pick mme drivers... only asio!!

So I guess I'll have to try the duo again, and again and.......

Sonar supports ASIO, from version 2.2. :)
