Im having a problem recording in Cakewalk Pro 9.

I have always recorded in 16 bit/44.1kHz, but I want to try 24bit 96kHz.

My sound card is an Echo Mia and the sample rate is locked at 96,000.

In cakewalk the sample rate and bit depth are set at 24bit 96kHz.

I can record but the Audio Driver Bit depth in cakewalk is set at 16bits.

Shouldnt I be setting the Audio Driver bit depth to 24 bit as well???

I can only record with the Audio driver Bit Depth at 16 bits tho...
When I switch it to 24bit I cant select my soundcard as the audio source in cakewalk, it doesnt read it or appear.

Am I still getting 24/96 with the audio driver bit depth set at 16 bit???

How do I change this?

You need to go to another sequencer...

And determine why you want to go to 24/96... 24/44.1 is more than good enough and you'll be able to run more tracks and plugins.
