Audio clip when exporting

When I export single tracks, I get exports 2db hotter than what goes out to the master bus. I tested to route directly to the soundcard, same thing happened there: 2 db hotter.

I did the exact same thing in Nuendo, got the same level outputs as the original...

Any Ideas?

Thanks

I have my answer:

This only happens when I do MONO exports.

I created a sine wave, level -9db.

I export it from nuendo, I get a wave at -9.4 db

I export from sonar, I get a wave at -6 db (3 db hotter)

I do a stereo export from Sonar, make the track mono and get a -9.4 db signal.

Conclusion:

Sonar exports 2 signals (L+R) into one MONO wave, thus an increase of 3 db! (Just like the theory says, when you take 2 exact same signals, you get an increase sound of 3 db)
