Hi,
I have an Alesis Multimix 16 USB (1.0) mixer and a M-Audio Axiom 61 Midi keyboard. I use Cubase 4 and Reason (Rewire).
Here is my problem: When I record with my Midi Keyboard, to reduce latency, I use asio4all driver. I have no problem doing that. In the Asio4all control pannel, I can see my USB mixer appearing as an audio card, as well as my computer's other card. I can select my USB mixer, but when i do so, I can't record audio. Seems like I must use the other driver (Asio DirextX Full Duplex Driver) to be able to record with my mixer. However, when I use this driver, I have a big latency with my midi instruments...
Is there a reason why I can't use the mixer with the asio4all driver?
Would it be possible to use both audio cards at the same time on Cubase, the asio4all with my internal audio card and the DirectX driver with my mixer?
(The latency with the audio is not important because i have direct monitoring on my mixer, so i just have to compensate latency on Cubase)
I hope I have expressed myself clearly... Thanks a lot
