I just got my Tascam CDRW-700 on Wednesday, and tonight I put down a rough mix on a CD-RW.After finalizing,I put the disc into my Sony 200 CD changer(CDP-CX225) and it plays flawlessly! I'm really jazzed,it's the 1st time I'm hearing some of my own music through a noncompressed digital format, and it sounds good!I'm just getting to know the Tascam, but so far,I've nothing but good to say,I really like the sound quality and it looks like it's gonna be very easy to use.BTW,for other 700 users,if you're interested, here's the procedure for turning off the SCMS: With the unit on Standby(only clock on display),simultaneously press and hold STOP,PLAY,and PAUSE until you see a long number appear (7000/80000 or something). At this point, press FINALIZE.Wait 'till you see "SCMS ON" on the display.Turn the jog wheel to OFF.Press FINALIZE again, then STOP.THat's it! you can now burn your tunes all day long with no SCummy copy code.Cheers!
