Audigy Platnium Pro ZS - Studio Projects B1

Hey all

Having some huge dramas... i got a Soundblaster Audigy Plat Pro ZS.... and a B1 Studio Projects microphone...

Im trying to record audio onto my computer and im having the world of troubles... If i plug in a normal every day PC microphone audio is great! but when i plug in the B1 it doesnt even work.. and i cant figure out why..


Any help ?

Just found out you need a Microphone Amplifier!...

im pretty sure the B1 needs phantom power.. your sound card wont have that.

This is exactly right. The SP-B1 is a condenser microphone, which requires 48v phantom power to get a signal from. The Audigy does not have this.
