Audigy 2, really that bad??

ok I know the Audigy 2 sucks,but is there really a huge difference(between it and a dedicated card)?

I am new to recording and have not been able to compare my Audigy 2 to a real card, so i have no idea of how bad the card is.
I just want to know if im wasting my time with this card. I'm not looking for professional results but i dont want cheap sounding results either.
 
the Audigy doesnt suck but it is a step down from alot of the "real" audio cards you can get for not much more $$$......

you will notice a difference especially with higher track counts.......
 
do you use the dedicated card for audio output also? OR... is it hard to use both cards? which would be prefered (for output) audigy (w/5.1 surround) or the dedicated card?

Do a search for audigy and find out for yourself...If you are serious about getting the best recording quality you can extigy/audigy appear to be a waste of money. Thank God I found this message board before I bought one. I saw plenty of other people make that mistake.
