Audigy 2 and SONAR

Anyone have any experience with these two together? If so, what's your review? What's your computer configuration (RAM, OS, Computer brand, etc.)?

I'm in the process of choosing a new soundcard (I've already purchased SONAR 2.1). I'm currently using a Turtle Beach Pinnacle and it has been sufficient for my purposes. But now that I need to upgrade my computer (for SONAR), the Pinnacle's ISA slot requirement won't fly.

The Audigy appears to have what I want (MIDI port, built in synth and appealing SNR). But, I'm concerned about it's compatability with SONAR - drivers and "what-not".

Thanks - BPOCO

I have Home Studio XL (mini-Sonar). I run windows 2000, AMD 1700 cpu, 256 mb DDR ram, and I use the Audigy soundcard. I built the computer myself, from parts on Ebay and some from TigerDirect.com . I haven't had much time to play with it yet, just got Cakewalk as a Christmas present.

Cakewalk's website says that the SB Live!, Audigy and Audigy 2 soundcards are compatible with SONAR/HS.

A freind has been recording using an older version of HS, with a Soundblaster card, for years, and producing decent stuff. I basically asked him what his specs were, and then upgraded everything significantly. He was using a Pentium 4 (didn't say what speed), and only 192mb ram, with the Soundblaster Pro. He advised upgrading memory, and at least 40 gigs of hard drive space for the files you produce, but he was happy with the soundcard. He had no complaints at all. The Audigy 2 is much better than the SB Pro.
