Audacity ?

Hey guys, Ive been using audacity with a peavy USB mixer, and i was wondering if there a way to hear my signal in without recording ? , it only lets me hear when it records

If I remember correctly, there's a drop down menu near the little microphone icon, under the meters. In that menu is an item called "start monitoring". I believe that is what you need to select.

But again, I don't have Audicity set up on this computer right now, so I may be mistaken.
