Hey gang,

After a hiatus, I've started recording again with some investments, and would like to know what you think of my mixing/tones, etc. I finally got a amp-modeler because of space/noise issues (Behringer V-Amp2) and have been much happier with my guitar tone. My new guitar is the Godin LGX Also, the song at the top of my page (www.mp3.com/subparchoir) "Spiral Infection" is the first time i've run the modeler directly into my RNC, wondering if you guys like the tone, or if its too cheesy, compressed. I'm trying to explore a new sound in this tune, attempting to combine a dance beat with shredding guitar work, try to appeal to the kids these days who like their rave that guitars are still cool. Your four minutes and comments greatly appreciated.

Hi,

well being a V-amp owner myself I thought I'd take a listen.. I think you should be able to get a better tone, it sounds kind of lo-fi to tell you the truth.. perhaps you are applying too much EQ.. and you'd probably get better results from panning it a little bit. seems to be all mid.. get some balls to that sucker.. I find cabs 15 and 11 seem to be the best choices, especially using the marshall and soldano amp models. bass and mid off, treble around 3/4.
